Lead Safety Compliance Program (Digital Download)

The Lead Compliance Program covers – 29 C.F.R. §1910.1025, the OSHA standard regulating occupational exposure to lead. This program protects our employees and other people who use our facilities from the hazardous effects of lead. It limits occupational exposure to lead, to or below the OSHA permissible exposure limit (PEL) of fifty Micrograms per cubic meter of air (50 ug/m3) when averaged over an 8-hour work day, and it deals with any emergency situations involving substantial releases of airborne lead that might occur. This program applies to all employees who could be exposed to lead and to emergency situations involving substantial releases of airborne lead.

This program comes in a Word document format and can be easily edited to fit your company’s specific requirements.

Topics covered include:

  • The hazard of exposure of lead can be minimized, or eliminated by the use of a combination of engineering and work practice controls;
  • Personal protective clothing and equipment;
  • Training;
  • Medical surveillance;
  • Housekeeping, signs, and labels; and
  • The program also solicits the cooperation of every employee in our effort to minimize or eliminate lead exposure, and makes it a requirement that employees immediately notify their supervisor of any actual or suspected instance of non-compliance.
